The Bhavnagar Salt & Industrial Works Pvt. Ltd., are one of the leading manufacturer of Industrial salt in western part of India.
Late Shri Gunvantrai T. Kamdar established our first Salt unit at Porbandar in 1930 with the help of his Highness of Porbandar. The 1400 acre unit is still held by our family since then. We produce close to about 80,000 MTs. quality Salt at that unit. At Porbandar, we are located only about 2.5 Kms., from the port which gives us added opportunity for exports.
Our Bhavnagar unit was established in 1943 with effective area of 4000 acres with annual production of about 1,75,000 MTs. In our Bhavnagar unit , his Highness the King of Bhavnagar was part of our Company. At Bhavnagar we are located next to the port.
Our manufacturing plant is situated adjacent to the Bhavnagar Port and also to the railway lines of Bhavnagar concrete jetty Railway Station. We are the first organization to start exporting Salt to foreign countries and today we export our products In Many Countries. Over a period of time, we have mustered a vast client base across the globe. Quality Assurance
We
at The Bhavnagar Salt & Industrial Works Pvt. Ltd. follow a very
strict quality policy. We have one of the finest Lab facilities
available as far as any Salt Unit is concerned. The raw salt is analyzed
before washing to ascertain the initial quality.
After
the washing we take 30 samples of each heap of 300 tons the final
analysis before dispatch. Each truck than loaded and analyzed before
leaving the Company premises. This procedure has lead us to achieve
close to 0% Rejection in our supplies of last five years.
- We have installed washery unit of 50 tons per hour which gives us quality of grade1 specification
- We have fully equipped laboratory to taste various parameters of salt in process before delivery and after loading trucks
- Each trucks is cleared before leaving the premises to achieve 0% rejection policy
